A Dog Attacked Me While I Was on a Bike. Can I Sue the Owner of the Dog?

dog bite lawyer

If an animal attacks you or a dog bites you while you are on your bicycle, the owner is responsible for your injuries. Their homeowners insurance company should cover this claim. Dog owners cannot allow their dogs to run free. Even if the dog did not bite you, but caused your bicycle accident, the owner is responsible for the damage done by their dog.

Pennsylvania Dog Law requires that all dogs must be under control and may not be allowed to run at large. Dogs are personal property and owners are responsible for damages caused by their dogs.
