Do I Need an Injury Attorney and How Much Does it Cost?

Non-Contact Motorcycle Accident

I was in an accident, do I need to hire and injury attorney and if so, how much does it cost?

The short answer to your question is, “It depends”. Were you hurt? Was the striking vehicle insured? Were you insured?

Don’t assume an insurance company will take care of everything. Find out what you are entitled to and make sure you are fully compensated for whatever harm you have suffered as a result of someone else’s negligent conduct.

Victims of traumatic accidents understandably struggle to regain balance after their lives are upended in significant, unfortunate and, often, irreversible ways. It’s our job to make sure these victims recover their lives as much as possible and get back on their feet-financially, physically, and emotionally in the aftermath.

Recovering from an accident physically can be a challenge in itself, but the business of an accident can overwhelm formerly functioning healthy people. It affects and consumes every aspect of a client’s life.

It should be the client’s focus to get healthy, keep their doctor’s appointments, and deal with day-to-day life and problems, but those problems shouldn’t include dealing with insurance companies or fighting to get their car fixed. That’s where we come in. If your car is in the shop, I’m working on getting you a rental. I’m helping solve problems, such as why the insurance company is not paying your medical expenses or sending the benefits you are entitled to, or why you are not getting your wage-loss check.

Our fee is charged only if a settlement or award is obtained. There are no upfront or out-of-pocket expenses. Taking your case is the risk we take. If there is no recovery, there is no fee. We work on a contingency fee basis. We get a percentage of any settlement or award that we obtain on your behalf and we are reimbursed for the costs that we have expended on your behalf. We understand that individuals who have been seriously injured as a result of someone else’s negligence often do not have income. In addition they may be incurring expenses to obtain necessary medical treatment and maintain their families. A contingency fee agreement provides a seriously injured victims with a “key to the courthouse”.
